Subject: What can the schools, parents, city officials do

Thanks, for the invitation to join this group, before it's over you
may have second thoughts,my main interest is to see how i can help
with our community issues, for instance the (youth), I'd like to
call them young adults, can we do more to understand why so many are
out on the streets, drinking, doing drugs, skipping
school.
What can the schools, parents, city officials do ? I understand
we have a truancy law for the student's parents, how's that working
out for both the parent and student. Here's what i see, a student
misses one day of school the parents are being charged $(78.00
=COURT FUNDS),(5.00= SHERIFF),(6.00=LAW LIBRARY),(9.00=CLEET)
(5.00=AFIS5),(5.00=FORE),(5.40=REVOLVING)(15.00=DACM),(10.00=MLRF),
(10.00=TCRF),(10.00=OCIS)=$158.40,PLUS (10.00 MAILING FEE),(50.00
FOR THE STATE),($??.00 FOR THE FINE),TOTAL OF $218.00 + THE
FINE,This is for one day,it almost doubles each day missed,(1st)
Question is this teaching our students the responsibility for the
action of skipping school, (2nd)Should parents just to pay the
money,(3rd) Maybe community service for the student, such as
cleaning the city on weekends with proper supper vision.I was
talking to the city clerk today, was told they had no one to watch
over the students, (4th) Is how much money is being collected and
why isn't it being used to help the youth in our community,
